Hearth & Home Technologies Announces Leadership Transition

Vincent Paul “VP” Berger II

Hearth & Home Technologies (HHT) has announced a significant leadership change. Vincent Paul “VP” Berger II will transition to HNI Corporation, the parent company of HHT, as Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the next few months. Brian Smith will take over as President of HHT, effective immediately.

Smith succeeds Berger, a 27-year veteran of HNI who has served as Executive Vice President and President of HHT since 2016. Berger, a certified public accountant with over 30 years of experience in various financial, operational, and leadership roles, will move to HNI Corporation as EVP and CFO following the retirement of Marshall H. Bridges. Berger has been a strong supporter and champion of HPBA throughout his tenure as President.

Brian Smith

Smith has been with the company since February 2000, holding several key positions in finance, business development, and mergers and acquisitions. Since 2018, he has served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Strategy. Smith will oversee HHT in his new role, focusing on long-term profitable growth. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Computer Science from the University of St. Thomas and brings extensive experience in finance, strategy, and leadership.

Berger expressed confidence in Smith’s ability to lead HHT, stating, “Brian and I have worked together for the past 24 years and side-by-side over the last 14 years. I am confident in his skill and passion to lead Hearth & Home Technologies in profitable growth.”

Please join us in congratulating Smith and Berger on their new roles!
