Fuel Choice Bill Advances to Full House Consideration

H.R. 3699, the Energy Choice Act, passed the House Energy & Commerce Committee, moving closer to a House floor vote. The bipartisan bill would protect consumer access to multiple energy options, including natural gas, by blocking state and local restrictions on specific energy sources. 

With 140 cosponsors in the House, momentum is building for this critical legislation, important to the hearth industry. HPBA is closely monitoring the bill, and members should be prepared to respond to calls to action as it advances.
