HPBA member, Empire Group expands presence in North American Hearth Industry

Empire Group, the parent company of Empire Comfort Systems, announced the acquisition of Canadian Heating Products, Inc. (dba Montigo Fireplaces) of Langley, British Columbia, Canada (“Montigo”).

Very rarely does 1 plus 1 equal 3, but with little crossover in products and customers, we feel that this acquisition will make both companies stronger,” said Nick Bauer, 4th generation President of Empire.

Empire Comfort Systems grew out of a small sheet metal shop founded by Henry Bauer in 1932 in the city of Belleville, Illinois.
